Farm Day at Hartfield Academy

This year Garry Makamson Farms had a "Farm Day" at Hartfield Academy. Garry, Connie and Karen gave a presentation to the 3 and 4 year olds as well as the 3rd and 4th graders. The children were very interested in how farming works. A few questions they asked were: How much water do you use for irrigation in a season? How does the cotton picker work? How do you not get lost in the fields? Along with answers to all these questions, they also learned all the different products that corn, soybeans and cotton are used for.
